Eleventh Hour Invitations
Tonight, the 4th, I will be DJ ing at the Horse Hospital auction, so come along from 7.00 pm. I’m not the only one. It’s a good cause.
And TOMORROW, Saturday 5th December, Come/Go to USURP for the premier of And I.
Below is a “Dear All” message from Reynir Hutber, the artist, who will be present at the drinks reception as will I, the subject, and as will Poulomi Desai the curator and force behind USURP. USURP is a wonderful gallery and well worth a trip West, only a metropolitan line trip away – 140 Vaughan Road, London HA1 4EB.
I am very excited to invite you to the debut of And I at USURP on the 5th of December 2015.
And I is a single channel eight-hour video work made in collaboration with Marcia Farquhar. The film is a
long-durational video of Farquhar speaking without edits or sustained pauses. Her monologue, occasionally interrupted or prompted by my voice, is improvised and entirely unrehearsed.
The video will begin at 12pm and conclude at 8pm. Between 6pm and 9pm there will be an opening/drinks reception to celebrate the film’s debut. The work was produced in partnership with the Live Art Development Agency and was supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England www.artscouncil.org.uk. ‘And I’ is a touring work that will premier at USURP, reflecting my long association with the gallery.
